Employees should download a current copy of ALL their HR records. Newer employees should check the details of their probationary periods (see below).
To download your SF-50 forms and other employee HR records, from your agency laptop, go to: https://eopf.opm.gov/epa/
eOPF is not accessible from home computers, so you must do this from your agency laptop with PIV card.
Instructions to download your Human Resources records from eOPF
To download individual documents one-at-a-time as PDFs, click the check box on a single form, then click on "Download" to save the PDF file.
To download all documents in eOPF as a single PDF (strongly recommended):
Step 1: Click on the top box as shown to Select All records.
Step 2: Click on the Download button to start the system generating the PDF.
Step 3: Click on MyDocuments on the top left.
Step 4: Click on Print Status to bring you to the download screen.
Sidenote: It can take from aa few seconds to an hour to generate the file. If it's not available t9o download quickly, you can come back later or the next day and it will be ready to download.
Step 5: WRITE DOWN THE PASSWORD.. The PDF will be password-protected. The password is 11 numbers -- your 4-digit birth year followed by the 7-digit RequestID (i.e., document number) -- with no spaces or punctuation.
Step 6: Click on the RequestID to download the PDF.
Recommendation: Include the password in the file name, unless you store it on a shared drive, so you don't forget or lose it (e.g., eOPF-records-MM-DD-YY_PW_is_xxxxxxxxxxx).
New Employees: What to Look For
Tenure in Block 24
1 indicates that you are a permanent, career employee and have completed three years of service.
2 indicates that you are a career-conditional employee. You're in a permanent position, but you haven't completed three years of service yet and may still be in your probation period.
3 indicates that you may be on a temporary or term appointment.
Probationary Period in Block 45 (Remarks)
In Field 45-Remarks, check the text for your Entry on Duty (EOD) date and probationary period.
